Its looking like a great week for the Op Newport Classic. This week holds potential for swell from a few sources. Going into mid week we'll see some swell from Hurricane Kenneth begin to show. This storm got much stronger than anticipated and actually slowed quite a bit on its westward track. Expect 2-3'+ surf for Wednesday with some sets reaching the chest to shoulder high range. This will be accompanied by some modest SW swell in the waist to chest high range as well so expected variable conditions with generally peaky surf. Mid day on Thursday into the Friday another round of SSW swell is due that should reach the chest to shoulder high+ range with some larger sets once filled in for the final rounds. Conditions this week are looking fair with partly cloudy skies and onshore breezes 5-10kt, increasing into Friday.
